The
Carter Bay Fly-In Subdivision is located half way between Government
Road and the Phase I of the Carter Bay Development, at North Latitude 45˚37.148'
and West Longitude
082˚08.172'
with an elevation of 825 feet. The runway will be 4700 feet (1433 meters) long with 150 feet (45 meters) lighted overruns at each end, running due east-west. It will accommodate private aircraft as well as corporate jets up to a Citation-10 and Dash 8. Surface will be asphalt cement pavement. There will be 2 100 feet (30.5 meters) wide taxi lanes beside the runway through which access to private hangars on an upscale housing development is secured. |

| The subdivision consists out of 80 lots, each of them between 2.5 and 4 acres (between 1 and 1.62 hectares) in size. This development is located 2 km from a new 27 hole golf course (under construction), 1 km from a planned marina and 1 km from the famous Carter Bay Dunes on Lake Huron. |

| A Traffic Control Tower / Clubhouse / Snack Bar will be conveniently located on the west side of the Fly-In Subdivision, overlooking the entire runway. |
| It will feature a
70 feet high (21 meters) traffic control tower as well as a hangar for
maintenance and repair purposes. This IFR Airfield will feature ARCAL (automated radio control airport lighting). The restaurant will host major Fly-In events or service local aircraft enthusiasts. |

A
T-Hangar - 60 feet x 400 feet (18 meters x 122 meters) - will provide
parking for 10 aircraft up to a size of a Cessna-410. Pilots can rent
large private lockers for tools, etc. in one of two spacious 30 feet x
30 feet (9 meters x 9 meters) rooms, which are located at each end of
the building. There will be all type of AV-fuel available as well as car rental services. Full time aircraft mechanics will be on duty. This Fly-In Subdivision is strategically located to put it within a comfortable flying range for thousands of private aircraft owners. For a Cessna-172 Toronto - Carter Bay would take 1 hour 15 minutes. |
